KINDERGARTEN students from the Chung Ching Middle School (CCMS) recently dropped by Sugarbun’s branch at the Sentral Shopping Centre (KB Sentral) in Kuala Belait as part of their after-school programme.
More than 50 kids led by eight teachers visited the fast-food restaurant, where they were greeted by Sugarbun staff and given a brief introduction of the restaurant.
They were also enlightened on processes such as taking customers’ orders, preparing their dishes and also serving them.
During the tour of the premises, the kids were shown how the staff prepared the food for their customers, taking cleanliness and perfect preparation into account.
The visitors were then treated to the restaurant’s best-selling fried chicken, amongst other dishes.
After the visit, the principal of CCMS, Dr Ang Sik Liong, gave a souvenir of appreciation to Managing Director of Sugarbun, Chan Fui Meng.
The after-school programme, named ‘Shining Star’ was the second such visit made by the school. It aims to provide an enriching hands on learning experiences for the children, as well as reinforcing the studies and expanding the concepts taught in the class.
With the visit, the programme helped to incorporate academic and social skills that increases the child’s confidence and eventually makes them a “shining star” in kindergarten.
