CCMS participated in the 19th BGIC-Borneo Global Issues Conference held by the International School Brunei. This year’s SDGs(Sustainable Development Goals) were about the 8th SDG-Decent work and Economic Growth. Delegates from twenty-three schools across Borneo participated in this event.

10 students from CCMS participated in BGIC this year.
They were spilt into different forums-Forum 1 and Forum 2 with different committees(Human Rights, Eco-Soc, Political and Environment).

Despite the fatigue and hectic days, it was a fruitful experience for students. BGIC is really a great opportunity for the students where they get to explore their interests, make new friends and also overcome new challenges. It develops students’ thinking skills, public speaking and most importantly teamwork. “Teamwork makes the dreamwork”. In BGIC,students learnt how to cooperate with others and come out with resolutions and ideas to solve problems the world is currently facing.
