Module 1
47 Pupils from Kindergarten 3 classes participated
Chung Ching Middle School Kindergarten section successfully organised “Shining Star” After School Programme Module 1, where by 47 pupils from Kindergarten 3 classes participated in the programme.

The “Shining Star” After School Programme was designed and prepared by all teachers in Chung Ching Middle School Kindergarten section with the focus on enabling pupils to enjoy learning in the great outdoors and provide them with first-hand real-life learning experiences which would widen their knowledge and ultimately increase their overall academic attainments. The 47 pupils were divided into two groups with the theme of “Circus”; each group was named after a performer in a circus, one is called ‘Koko the Clown’ and the other one is called ‘the Magician’.

ASP consists of 6 sessions
This year’s Module 1 ASP was named “Circus”. There were ten sessions which were held every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. The pupils had opportunities to enjoy Art & Craft, cooking, outdoor games and watching a movie. Teachers in charge were Teacher Garri Yan Gao and Teacher Aiko.
The After School Program started with taking the pupils to watch the Sonic movie at KB Sentral. Teachers in charge planned and prepared an interesting and inspirational cooking class where by the pupils made their own hotdogs. The best part was that the pupils enjoyed tasting their own food!
In Art & Craft, the pupils were able to use different materials to make clown masks, jester hats and circus tents. These carefully designed activities not only helped to develop pupils’ fine-motor skills but also gave them room to use their imagination and creativity.
Apart from Indoor learning activities, the pupils also enjoyed our outdoor games. These games had a positive impact on children’s physical development as well as their intellectual development. They also learned the importance of teamwork.

Certificate will be awarded to pupils who completed two modules of ASP
With the closure of the Module 1 of ASP, we look forward to our Module 2 of ASP with the theme “Beautiful Garden”, which will start after the holidays. Pupils who successfully completed two modules will be awarded a certificate.
We believe this programme has brought the pupils great pleasure in learning and it will have a very positive influence on their future learning journey.
