The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) is administered by Australian Mathematics Trust. This competition is held annually usually on the first week of August. It aims to develop students to become creative problem solvers so they can be creative solution finders in the future. The competition is suitable for students in years 3 to 12. In Chung Ching Middle School Primary section, 12 students participated in the said competition in 2019. A student from Year 4J, Jayden Wei Zhe Chan has achieved High Distinction. Jasper Oliver Tan from Year 4J and Chiranjith C Panicker from Year 4L, Joel Hee Shaw Chee and Justin Yong Shi You from Year 6J have achieved Distinction. Marcus Yong Shi Ping from Year 5J, Evelyn Lim Pei Yu from Year 5L and Meghan Hon Le Xuan from Year 6J have achieved Credit. Chew Chee Yee from Year 5J, Cayden Boon Yu Zhe from Year 5L & Annabelle Foo Mei Ling from Year 6J scored proficiency.
